Breakfasts were delicious.
Could be great for one night. The hotel was clean with peaceful and handy location in a lovely area and newly remodelled rooms. Well-trained and competent staff at management, which was unquestionably a plus. We both enjoyed the food, it was very pleasant and had a good choice of options.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. The location near Rutland Water is excellent.
The courtyard room decor was a little tired, particularly in the staircase area. There was no minibar/fridge in the room although there was space to provide one.

Location
Situation of the room, ie. over the bar. I wondered if it really was a superior room.

Good food and friendly staff
We booked a superior room, but were given a standard room, which we realised too late. Some of the restaurant staff seemed to lack the experience one would expect for the prices charged.

The food was of a high standard, the evening meal and breakfast were very enjoyable, and plenty of choice..the staff were very attentive..
The bedroom was comfortable but quite small.the self closing doors from the room below could do with a cushioning device to lower the noise level..

Friendly and relaxed ambience - very efficient staff. Pretty country location - lovely grounds including sheltered courtyard garden. Our spacious room had views across fields and a glimpse of Rutland Water. We ate in the conservatory and enjoyed our meal.
